A special day for Novato’s Battalion Chief Scott Freedman

March 10, 2024 by Marin 1 Comment

Scott Freedman read “No Dragons for Tea” to the kids at Olive Elementary School.

Novato Fire District had the pleasure of participating in Read Across America Day at Olive Elementary School. Battalion Chief, Scott Freedman, served as the guest reader, sharing important lessons about fire safety with eager 3rd graders.

This event held an extra layer of significance as it marked Chief Freedman’s final day before retirement.

It was a poignant moment as he returned to the school where his mom once taught, with her joining us for the special occasion. Scott read “No Dragons for Tea.”
