The Tiburon community rallied to the aid of Yema Khalif, owner of the store Yema in downtown Tiburon. Yema was the scene of an incident with police in which Khalif claimed Tiburon police racially profiled him for working late in his store.
The incident resulted in the resignation of the Tiburon police officer involved.
Then this week a threat appeared on Instagram that read: “If Biden wins me and the boys gonna go raid yemma. 4:00 p.m. on Election Day show up.”
The threat did not materialize. But the community showed up to support Yema.
