July 11, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

San Rafael, CA – Terrapin Crossroads has announced the full lineup and details for Sunshine Daydream Vol 3 on Sunday, July 21, at McNears Beach in San Rafael. Inspired by the many incredible outdoor shows at the old Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, Sunday Daydream Vol 3 is one of two all-day festivals centered around music, community, spirit, family, and fun featuring Phil Lesh & Friends and more on the gorgeous Marin County bay shoreline. The second festival, Sunday Daydream Vol 4, takes place on August 18.

Sunday Daydream Vol. 3 features a headlining set by Phil Lesh & Friends (Phil Lesh, Stanley Jordan, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Grahame Lesh, Mikaela Davis, John Molo, and Jason Crosby). Rounding out the lineup are Stu Allen & Mars Hotel and Greg Loiacono & Stingray. Scott Law & Elliott Peck will host music all day on the “Keep It Weird” Acoustic Bar Stage between sets. This all-star lineup will pay homage to the 50th Anniversary of Grateful Dead’s amazing performance at the Hollywood Bowl in 1974.

Stories and Songs with Phil Lesh will add to the full day of fun. A long-running favorite at Terrapin Crossroads, Phil is excited to bring back story time for the young ones. The Camp Terrapin Kid Zone will also be in full effect, with face painting, inflatables, games, and more!

“With this festival series, we’re sharing the legacy of these wonderful musicians and tours and re-creating the community spirit of Terrapin Crossroads,” said Phil Lesh. “I love the opportunity to celebrate this music, bring it to new and diverse audiences, and keep the spirit alive.”

Sunday Daydream Vol. 4 on August 18 features a headlining set by Phil Lesh & Friends (Taylor Goldsmith, Stu Allen, Holly Bowling, Griffin Goldsmith, Natalie Cressman, and Grahame Lesh). The Sam Grisman Project will join the Vol. 4 lineup, paying tribute to the musical legacy of Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. The full lineup will be announced soon.

“The music that my father, David Grisman, and his close friend, Jerry Garcia, made in the early 90s in the house that I grew up in is not only some of the most timeless acoustic music ever recorded, but it also triggers my oldest and fondest musical memories,” said Sam Grisman.

Tickets are $99 for General Admission, $29 for Kids (2-12), and $149 for VIP (includes early admission to the festival, a VIP viewing area with an exclusive bar, a VIP laminate, and a limited edition poster), available now at terrapincrossroads.net. For more information on the event, parking, lineup, etc., visitterrapincrossroads.net.
