Election 2020: Nail biter in Sausalito with a three-vote margin for City Council seat

November 17, 2020 by Marin Leave a Comment

Ian Sobieski

Tomorrow, Wednesday Nov. 18, may finally decide who sits on the Sausalito City Council — former Mayor Joan Cox or newcomer Ian Sobieski.

Currently, Sobieski is up by three votes with a new vote posting coming from the Marin Registar of Voters on Wednesday. It’s been a see-saw tally with Cox ahead by 60 votes on election night. By the end of the week her lead dwindled to 29. Then last Wednesday after an vote dump, Sobieski was up by 10 votes. And, on last Friday, he was up by three votes.

Joan Cox

A new tally will come on Wednesday which will include mail-in ballots postmarked on or before Nov. 3.
