Black Man Alert: A woman called police to alert them to the fact that an “African American” would be staying at her house and walking to and from the house to a downtown market, where he works. She sought unspecified advice from police on the “situation.” Wow.
Anger Much: A woman got into a traffic beef with the driver of a white truck She flipped him off. At a red light, he jumped into her car and threatened to beat her up. Police were called. The angry truck man was gone.
Kids On Roof: Police put extra patrol around the 300 block of E. Blithedale Avenue after four kids were seen running on the roof. Ongoing issue, it was reported.
Homeless Bath: A woman reported to police that the last few times she has hiked off of Cascade Drive there have been naked homeless men “heading to the wells to bath.” This, she said, “makes her very uncomfortable.”
Suspicious Man: A citizen came across a man off of Miller Avenue. He was on his knees with his pants down and making “weird gestures.” Police found the man. He was cooperative but appeared to have a mental issue.
Sleeper: A man was found sleeping on a driveway on the Redwood Highway frontage road.
Quip of the Day: Two adults and five kids were in the picnic area off of Sycamore Avenue. The park is closed and none were wearing masks. A citizen approached them about taking care during COVID-19. They responded: “Get a life.” Police were called.
Mailboxes: Three mailboxes were reported pried open on Shelley Drive.
Naked Sleeper: A man on his morning walk saw a woman living out of her car in the parking lot between Cypress and Edgewood. She was in her car naked and smoking a cigarette. It’s an ongoing issue. Police called. Once again, that is in the parking lot between Cypress and Edgewood.
Sausalito
July 16 – 223 2020
Old Man Driver: A 90-ish man with his mouth wide open and appearing “out of it” was driving on the wrong side of the road on Bridgeway. Police rolled, but the oldster was gone on arrival.
74 Decibels: A citizen called the cops on her neighbors for having a loud party. She clocked the noise level at 74 decibles.
Table Flipper: A 60-ish woman flipped over a table on Bridgeway and refused to leave. She wore a purple coat, tights and a blue sun hat. Should not be hard to find.
Car In Water: A red Toyota Corolla rolled into the water with a person in the back seat. The woman was rescued and the car was towed out.
Doll Stolen: A woman with a Korean passport told police her car was broken into and three bags were taken, including a doll. She thought she was in San Francisco. A language issue slowed the process.
Mask Dispute: A man threatened another man on Locust Street for not wearing a mask.
Parking Problem: A citizen called the police on a black Tesla occupied by two men. The car was parked on Olima Street in a handicapped spot without a placard.
Hair Curling: The owner of a beauty salon was curling the hair of a family member when an unbalanced soul burst into the business and yelled at her for doing business during the SIP. Police were notified.
Not Normal: A guy on Bay Street described as “not normal” passed a masked woman on the street. He then pulled down his mask and yelled “What are you an f-ing communist? Take that sh*t off your face.” Police were called. The guy was probably homeless by the looks of it and nothing much happens to homeless people in Sausalito for behavior like this.
Boat Flipped: A sail boat flipped over. Two people, wearing life vests, were in the water. No injuries. Wear life vests.
Stolen Car: On Friday, July 17, the Sausalito Police Department received an alert from the city’s License Plate Recognition Cameras of a stolen 2019 Nissan Sentra entering Sausalito from the 4000 block of Bridgeway. The Nissan had been reported stolen out of Vallejo earlier in the day. Officers responded and located the Nissan at approximately in the 800 block of Bridgeway. Officers detained the driver, Nicole Gandy (38-year-old resident of Vallejo) and the passenger, Daniel Mcinerney (49-year-old resident of Benicia) without incident. Inside of the Nissan, Officers discovered approximately 28 grams of suspected methamphetamines and tools commonly used to commit burglaries. Gandy and Mcinerney were arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail for possession of the stolen vehicle, methamphetamines, and burglary tools.

Man Down: A caller reported a subject down on Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera. A man, with no permanent address, was arrested on a $5,000 warrant held by San Francisco County Sheriff Office and a $5,000 warrant held by Marin County Sheriff Office. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Tools Taken: A caller reported tools taken from Scenic Avenue in San Anselmo. An Officer took a report.
Window Snashed: A caller reported returning to his vehicle parked on Larkspur Landing Circle in Larkspur to find a window smashed and items missing. An Officer took an auto burglary report.
Car Stolen: A resident on South Eliseo Drive in Greenbrae reported her vehicle had been stolen. An Officer took a report.
Drunk: A caller reported an aggressive intoxicated subject on Madera Boulevard in Corte Madera. A Sausalito resident was arrested for public intoxication. She was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Drunk, Too: A caller reported an intoxicated subject on San Anselmo Avenue in San Anselmo. A San Rafael resident was arrested for public intoxication and violation of probation. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Vandalism: Security at Corte Madera Town Center in Corte Madera reported a subject damaging property and refusing to leave. A man, with no permanent address, was arrested for vandalism and trespassing. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Suspicious Character: A caller reported a suspicious subject at Corte Madera Town Center in Corte Madera. A San Francisco resident was arrested for possession of narcotic controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Xanax without a prescription, possession of controlled substance and possession of burglary tools. He was cited and released.
