Tonight into Sunday morning, Golden Gate Bridge crews will be closing several lanes at the Toll Plaza for roadway maintenance. The lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 11, and last until 8 a.m. Sunday, July 12. Traffic on the Bridge will remain open in both directions, but drivers should expect to slow down around construction areas and may experience delays while the lane closures are in effect.
Beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, the Bridge roadway approaching the toll plaza will be narrowed to one southbound lane and two northbound lanes to allow for roadway striping. Once the southbound roadway work is complete, Bridge maintenance crews will then narrow the roadway approaching the toll plaza to two southbound lanes and one northbound lane to allow for similar roadway striping.
Work is expected to be complete by 8 a.m. Sunday morning, at which time the Bridge will be returned to a three southbound and three northbound lane configuration.
