In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 27, 2025, Mill Valley Police Department officers responded to a report of a traffic collision involving multiple parked vehicles in the 100 block of Miller Avenue.
Officers arrived on scene and discovered that multiple parked vehicles had been struck by a vehicle that was no longer present. Initial investigation determined that the driver fled the scene in their vehicle prior to police arrival.

Through swift investigative efforts, officers located the involved vehicle and its driver elsewhere within the City of Mill Valley a short time later. The driver, a minor, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Following this investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence and hit-and-run.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Due to the driver’s age, no identifying information will be released.
In light of this incident, as well as a separate incident last week in which a minor was arrested following a collision involving a DUI driver, we urge parents to speak with their children about the severe risks and life-altering consequences associated with driving under the influence. Open conversations about responsible decision-making can play a critical role in keeping our community safe.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing; therefore, no additional information will be released at this time.
