Lt. Jacob: One of Novato’s finest calls it a career

Lieutenant Jacob is retiring after an illustrious career dedicated to serving the City of Novato.

Throughout his time at the Novato Police Department, Lieutenant Jacob has taken on various roles – including serving as the Special Services Lieutenant, Traffic Officer, Novato Response Team Supervisor, Detective, Body Worn Camera Coordinator, Crisis Negotiation Team Commander, Field Training Program Coordinator, Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, and Fleet Manager.

Some of his achievements throughout his career include:

2005 Traffic Officer Assignment

2011 Detective Assignment

2012 Promotion to Corporal

2014 + 2017 Employee of the Year

2015 Promotion to Acting Sergeant

2016 Promotion to Sergeant

2017 Body Worn/Fleet Camera Coordinator

2017 Novato Response Team Sergeant

2020 Promotion to Lieutenant

2024 Leadership Novato Graduation

Lt. Jacob, your tenure is filled with numerous tales of teamwork, dedication, empathy, and unwavering commitment to creating a positive impact. Your dedication to your team members, assisting the department in countless projects, and, above all, your relatability to the community will be fondly remembered. While you may be hanging up the badge, your passion for making a difference remains.

On behalf of the Novato Police Department, enjoy your retirement, which you truly deserve – you will be greatly missed! Congratulations to 23 years in Law Enforcement!!
