On Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 at approximately 6:15 a.m., Mill Valley police officers were dispatched to the area of Eldridge Avenue and Lee Street for a report of two people who were attempting to burglarize vehicles in the area.
When arriving in the area, an officer located a male suspect who matched a description provided by the reporting party. As responding officers conducted their investigation, they later located numerous vehicles that appeared to have been entered by the suspect(s). Officers further located a garage that appeared to have been forcibly entered. It was later determined the suspect(s) stole a bicycle from the garage.
Following a thorough search of the area, the second suspect was not located. Investigators continue to review evidence collected at the scene in an attempt to identify that person.
Following their investigation, officers identified and arrested 33-year-old Alexis DeLeon, who does not have a listed address. At the time of his arrest, DeLeon was found to be in possession of tools that are commonly possessed by those who are committing burglaries. DeLeon was also found to be on probation through the County of Marin.
DeLeon was later booked into the Marin County Jail for the following crimes:
459 PC – Burglary
466 PC – Possession of Burglary Tools 1203.2 PC – Violation of Probation
