Beat It: A citizen called police to alert them to her neighbor sitting in his backyard and masturbating in front of gawd and all outdoors. She thought it was inappropriate even in Fairfax. Police gave the neighbor advice on the situation. The advice was not reported on the police log.
Coyote Pups: Two “mangy” looking coyote pups were reported skulking around White Hill Middle School. Reported to police.
Robbery: A woman reported on Aug. 24 that she was robbed of her purse at gunpoint on Ross Commons Road. Report taken.
Drunk Mom: A mother called the school to say she was on the way to pick up her kids. The school called police because she sounded drunk. The woman was stopped on Bolinas Road enroute to the school and arrested for DUI.
Washing Car: A driver of a gray Prius pulled up to a man’s home, pulled a garden hose from the house to his car, and began washing his car. Homeowner confronted the Prius driver, who then sped away. Report taken.
Vandalism: The Marin Alliance for Medical Marijuana reported it had been vandalized on Aug. 24. A window and door were damaged. Service provided.
Noise: A car parked on Frustruck Avenue played its radio so loud it disturbed residents. The car also kept its light on, which shined into houses. Police responded and gave the discourteous driver a verbal warning.
Cat In Tree: Police helped the fire department rescue the proverbial cat in tree situation. Police found the cat underneath a piece of plywood. Returned to owner.
SAUSALITO
Disturbed: A homeless woman with no shoes and a disturbed attitude lay on the sidewalk in front of a restaurant on Bridgeway and swore like a sailor at passersby. Police moved her along.
Assault: Two men fought at Bridgeway and Princess on Aug. 30. One knocked the other to the ground and fell on him. He then left the scene. The other man lay motionless (but breathing) on the pavement. Service provided.
Murder He Said: A random caller told the dispatcher he knew of a murder and could take the police to the body of water where the body was dumped. An officer will make contact.
Pee Patrol: A citizen saw a homeless man pee on a tree on Bridgeway. Called the cops who talked to the alleged urinator. He said it wasn’t him. Service provided.
Neighbors: A citizen living on Third Street called police on his neighbor who he said shovels weeds and debris onto his sidewalk. Service provided.
MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
Screamer: A homeless woman was reported screaming her head off for 90 minutes straight on Reed Boulevard in Strawberry on Sept. 5. Deputies responded. She is packing up her belongings and getting a ride to the court house.
Pot Backpack: Two kids at a bus stop near Inverness Park saw a backpack filled with marijuana sitting there. Suddenly, a souped up truck with big wheels pulled up and a guy jumped out and took the backpack. Report made to police. Service provided.
Bongo Man: A citizen on Sept. 5 reported loud bongo playing in Marinwood. He’s been asked to stop with the bongo playing several times. Service provided. Bongo “music” stopped.
Passed Out: A man was reported passed out in the bike lane on Lucas Valley Road. No bike was seen. Welfare check service provided.
School Vandalized: The school on Lagunitas School Road in San Geronimo was reported vandalized on Sept. 10. Rock thrown through glass door and fire extinguisher damaged. Report taken.
Crazy: A man wearing jeans and no shoes stood near the In-n-Out Burger joint in Strawberry swinging a piece of wood at people and cussing them out. He took of his clothes and put on a new shirt. Deputies responded. Service provided.
Car Inhabitant: A citizen reported a man sleeping in a car on Lomita Drive in Alto. Caller worried that the car sleeper was hanging out too close to a school. Deputies responded. Service provided.
Binford Mess: The side-of-the-road homeless encampment on Binford Road was the site of police activity on Sept. 10. Two women looked like they were breaking into a parked truck and man in a hoodie was acting suspicious. Deputies responded. Service provided.
