Marin 911: Bomb threat, mysterious prowlers and a weeping woman in Starbucks

MILL VALLEY

Sideswipe:  An van nicked a parked car on Walnut Avenue on Dec. 3 and kept on going. The driver was described by witnesses as an “old Asian man.” Service provided.

Loaded: A citizen found a Colt pistol in her mother-in-law’s home. It was loaded and when she tried to unload it, it cocked. She theb became fearful of it and called police for help. Service provided. 

Bomb Threat: Tam High School had a bomb threat on Dec. 11. Students were evacuated to the football field. Service provided. 

Prowler: Residents of Keats Drive called police of a prowler trying the doors of multiple cars. Video evidence sent to police. Service provided.

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF

Wallet: A wallet was stolen out of a woman’s purse as she grocery shopped in Strawberry. Service provided.

Hard Day: A woman with a small poodle dog wept in Starbucks on Dec. 17. Seemed unwell and was refused service. She flipped out and police called. No crime, just a bad day for the crying woman. Service provided.

Piano Noise: A resident on Carrera Drive in Tam Valley called deputies because her neighbor was “banging around on the piano again.” Officer talked to the neighbor. His piano is soundless and determined that tapping on that piano did not constitute a noise violation. Service provided. 

Tagged: A blue boat parked on Cardinal Road in Tam Valley was tagged for removal. 

RV Violation: An RV has been moving about to essentially permanently live on Central Drive in Strawberry. Vehicle tagged.

White Van: Deputies were alerted on Dec. 20 to a white van in Novato that may be connected to a series of break-ins. Area checked. 

Kayakers: Deputies assisted the Coast Guard with five kayakers that appeared in distress on Dec. 19. All were fine. Black Eye: A woman in San Rafael told deputies that she was beaten up by the Mexican mafia and specifically by “the president of Mexico”. The president of Mexico, however, was not seen in the area. Service
