Marin 911: Drone sightings, severe weather and port-a-potties tipped over

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF

Drones: A citizen reporting seeing drones off of San Pedro Road on Dec. 16. Photos were taken and sent to authorities. Service provided. 

Sparks: A tree fell on a power line on Dec. 14, shooting sparks onto Sunset Trail in Novato. Service provided.

Trees Down: Two large trees were blown down on Dec. 14 and pop tent had been blown into the wires on Conifer Way in Woodacre. Service provided.

Binford Road: Wind blew down the port-a-potties set up on Binford Road to accommodate the RV homeless parked there for years. Caller asked deputies to see to the issues. Also a lot of trash in the area. Service provided.

Tree Down: A tree fell onto a house on Appleberry Drive in Marinwood on Dec. 14, collapsing the roof. Service provided.

Flooding: Flooding was reported on Dec. 14 near the Tam High School football field. A car was trapped. Service provided.

Tree Down: Deputies responded to a tree down over Sir Franciss Drake Boulevard in Pt. Reyes on Dec. 14. Roadway cleared.

Mud Slide: Deputies helped manage a mud slide on San Pedro Road in Santa Venetia on Dec. 14. Tree and debris in the road. DPW notified.

Deep Water: Deputies were called to the water sewage facility on Albion Street in San Rafael on Nov. 29. Two men, who spoke only Spanish, were trying to get a truck out of the water. A passerby said they looked like “gangsters.” Deputies arrived. One person fled on foot. 

Two Dogs: Two dogs chased deer at Pine Gulch Trail in Bolinas on Nov. 29, at times blocking the roadway. Service provided.

Door Open: Deputies found the door open at the Marin Housing Authority on Drake Avenue. It was after hours. No sign of a crime. Door closed. Office secure. Service provided.

Shots Fired: Deputies responded to shots fired into the night in Marin City. Service provided.

Late Call: A woman who may have been, well, delusional called deputies about 40 or so people in her basement digging tunnels. In addition, she had concerns about worms and infectious diseases. Service provided. 

Drunk: On Nov. 29, deputies were called to a store on Shoreline Highway with a drunk causing problems. Service provided.

Another Call: A woman called deputies to report she was being followed by white supremacists and they were using drones to spy on her. She said they also found a way to make her car window roll down by itself. Service provided. 

Bang, Bang: A student in Venetia made a gun with his hand a pretended to shoot everyone in the classroom. Service provided.

Burglary: A Tam Valley resident reported his truck was burglarized on Dec. 4. Power tools worth several thousands of dollars were taken. 

MILL VALLEY

Booze Theft: Three people came into a business on Miller Avenue on Dec. 11 and made away with three cases of alcohol. Service provided. 

Just A Nap: Police responded to a call of a woman passed out in her car on Old Mill Street. She was just taking a nap while waiting for a friend. Service provided.
