Marin 911: Litterbugs, loud porn noise, lost cats and homeless misbehavior

September 19, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

MILL VALLEY

Litter Bug: Police received reports on Sept. 4 of someone in a Chevy Silverado throwing garbage  out of the truck on Miller Avenue. Police contacted the man and made him pick up his mess.

Ohh, Ohh: On Aug. 28 a citizen on Del Casa Drive reported that someone in the neighborhood is constantly playing porn videos and turning up the volume so everyone can hear. It’s been going for 5 days, the caller. One of Mill Valley’s finest went to the area and excited his patrol car. No “obscene sounds” were heard.

Sudden Acceleration: A citizen on Miller Avenue attempted to back up a parked car. Instead of going backwards, the vehicle went forward, hitting a post and a planter.

Scary Guns: A daughter’s dad is in the hospital and she called the police to turn in his guns. Police said if she doesn’t have power of attorney, it would have to wait until the father gets home.

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF

Dog Bite: A person at Dillon Beach was bitten by a dog. Report taken.

Homeless: A woman spend all afternoon and the night at the Tomales post office. Service provided.

Machete Man: A hiker on Sept. 16 was on Lagunitas Road in Ross when she encountered a man on the trail with a “jagged edge” machete. It scared the bejeebers out of her. She ran down the hill and called the sheriff. A search was initiated for Machete Man. A trail worker with a saw sort of fit the description. But deputies otherwise found no Machete Man. Service provided.

Sleeper: A homeless man has been sleeping the doorway of townhall in Tomales. Deputies assisted in moving the man along.

Bothersome:  A vagabond has been walking the streets of Marinwood acting crazy – waving his hands and shouting to himself. Deputies talked to him, gave him a little advice and moved him along.

Lost Cat: A woman in Tam Valley “caught” people on her Ring camera walking in her backyard and called deputies. Turns out they were her neighbors looking for their lost cat. The neighbors talked to each other and permission was given to search the property. No word on the disposition of the missing kitty.

Weird: An old man in Bolinas with a possible mental disability called the police and said there were “weird” people on his deck. Deputies arrived and had to introduce themselves as deputies several times to the old man. He told the deputies that he didn’t need help and to get off his deck. Service provided.
