Editor’s note: We read the police reports available in Marin County and sniff out the good stuff you need to know. No ‘thanks’ necessary. It’s our job.

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF

No Pants Lady: A worker walking through an alley on Oct. 2 in Marin City spied a woman in the bushes with no pants on. She had a shopping cart with her. Deputies responded and moved the woman along, presumably with her pants on.

Welfare Check: On Sept. 21, a resident on Lucas Valley Road called deputies to perform a welfare check on a guy sitting in a green van and acting “nervous” and “strange.” Service provided.

Mail Taker: A homeless man described as “darker” in skin color and wearing a light blue sweater took mail from a home on Summit Avenue in San Rafael. Service provided.

Party Noise: Adults in Tam Valley asked deputies to quiet down a teen party in Tam Valley on Sept. 21. Service provided.

More Party Noise: Yelling and cheering were heard from Altura Way in Greenbrae and a complaint was made. Parents shut down the party. Service provided.

Patio Sleeper: On Oct. 2 a woman on Circle Road in San Rafael said he thought someone was in the shadows of her back yard, but couldn’t tell for sure. In the morning, she found the cushions on the back porch in disarray. She believes someone is sleeping on the patio.

Passed Out: A homeless person was reported passed out on a bench in San Rafael. Service provided.

Mail Box: A citizen in Homestead reported someone tried to take her mailbox, but couldn’t get it out. Service provided.

Political Poop: A citizen in Novato reported “someone” keeps removing her political sign and putting dog feces on her property. Service provided.

MILL VALLEY

Welfare Check: A crazy acting dude ran around a park bench yelling wildly and hit his head. Police talked with him and determined he is mental state. Service provided.

Pot Smell: Patrol stopped a black SUV because smoke could be seen coming from inside and it smelled like pot. When stopped, the officer could smell stinky post, but did not see smoke. Driver given a warning.

Hot Pom: On Sept. 23 on Presidio Avenue a pomeranian dog was in a parked black Prius and crying to get out. Owners returned. Call to cops canceled.

Scared: A young driver saw a cop pointing a radar gun at her. She thought it was a real gun and reported it. Service provided.

Stolen Tools: A resident on Locke Lane reported on Sept. 19 that tools were stolen from his property. Service provided.

Man With Ax: A man was seen in Almonte talking to himself and walking with a big ax in hand. Deputies talked to the would-be lumberjack and determined he was on “the spectrum.” He dropped the ax and agreed to be taken home.

Back Door Blocked: A homeless man who said he was on his way to Healdsburg blocked the back door of an establishment in Marin City. He had a baseball bat in his backpack, but otherwise doesn’t look like a baseball player. Service provided.

Dope Smell: A woman in Marin City said she’s smelling a distinct drug smell seping through her walls and thinks her neighbors are up to no good. Wanted deputies to come smell for themselves. Service provided.
