The County posts and distributes a full agenda for each Board of Supervisors meeting on the Thursdays prior to a scheduled Tuesday meeting.

Here are the top policy items on Supervisors’ agenda for Tuesday, March 4. The meeting is to begin at 9 AM.
Unassigned Year-end Fund Balance
Shortly after convening at 9 AM, the Board will consider allocating a balance $2,421,607 left over from the 2023-24 County Budget. The funds largely come from investment returns and higher-than-expected workforce salary savings. The County’s practice has been to allocate one-time funds for one-time uses. Considering the high cost of housing in Marin, the Office of the County Executive recommends that the Board allocate the funds to the Affordable Housing Trust to address to assist in meeting funding needs to implement the Housing Element section of the Countywide Plan. Amendments to the Countywide Plan
Following a closed session, the Community Development Agency expects to ask the Board to adopt a resolution updating the Countywide Plan, a long-range comprehensive general plan for the unincorporated areas of Marin. Proposed updates authored by the Marin County Planning Commission comply with a court order and adjusts language about community plans for some established unincorporated neighborhoods.
