Marin County vows to stay woke come Trump or high water

Marin County District 4 Supervisor Dennis Rodoni, who finished a full year of serving as the 2024 Board President, speaks about staying woke and to defy the federal government if necessary.

In a statement the County of Marin called one of “unity and shared values,” the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, Jan. 14, adopted a resolution affirming its commitment to stay fully woke and defy any moves to change that as President-elect Donald Trump comes into power on Jan. 20.

The resolution calls the Trump Administration a “threat to members of the Marin community.” It goes on to pledge woke policies of the county, stating:

“Many historically marginalized community members —including but not limited to immigrants, trans, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and communities of color— are living with significant uncertainty and a climate of fear caused by the threat of removal of policies that protect their rights. These communities would be disproportionately harmed by discriminatory policies and practices. This resolution reflects our values and affirms the Board’s commitment to protecting the rights and freedoms of all Marin County community members. Our goal is to ensure that every Marin community member feels a strong sense of belonging, no matter the challenges ahead.”

The county did not specify what actions it might take to resist federal laws it might defy under a Trump Administration.

God forbid they prioritize long term, land owning, tax paying citizens.

Your mentioning God may trigger them! We can’t have that, not in Marin!
