Dear Neighbors,
Last week in my newsletter, I shared information about opportunities to give feedback about a housing bond. On Wednesday, August 14, the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority (BAHFA) decided to remove the bond measure for affordable housing from the November general election ballot. This bond measure aimed to address the Bay Area’s housing affordability crisis across all nine counties in the region if passed by voters. Marin County initiated a survey and listening sessions with the community. Following BAHFA’s decision to remove the measure, the County canceled the remaining sessions including the San Rafael August 21 and August 27 meetings shared in my newsletter. Marin County remains committed to addressing housing affordability and will continue to provide opportunities for public involvement. You can learn more here.
