Editor’s note: We read the police reports available in Marin County and sniff out the stuff you need to know. It’s our job.

MILL VALLEY

Dogs Barking: On Sept. 26, Mill Valley’s finest were alerted to dogs barking in the Amicita Avenue area. Service provided.

Phone Gun: The assistant principal of a local school called police to report a student just walked out of class, pointing his cell phone as if it were a gun and said “pop, pop, pop” as if he were shooting the teacher and the kids. Police on it.

Pot Smokers: A citizen on Sept. 26 reported five kids smoking dope on the play structure on Sycamore Avenue. Police searched the kids and found “nothing suspicious.”

Social Host: Police responded to a complaint of about 15 kids having a party on Janes Street. Parents gave their kid permission to have a party. Party was broken up and a “social host” violation was issued.

Beggar: A woman begging for money on Camino Alto was spoken to and moved along.

SAUSALITO

Hobo Sleeps: On Oct. 3 a homeless person was reported sleeping behind a building on Bridgeway. People were afraid to approach him. He had a shopping cart full of belongings. Police moved him along.

Hobo Sleeps II: A homeless man on Oct. 4 in a sleeping bag lay in the walkway between two buildings on Bridgeway. Police woke him up and moved him along.

Shoplifting: A man described as a “darked skin male” wearing black spandex shorts was reported to have shoplifted stuff from a location on Harbor Drive. Report taken.

Ice Scream: A customer of an ice cream shop called the police because the scooper put his hands on his cone. He demanded a new cone. Scooper told him to beat it.

Hobo Mad: A homeless person made a scene on Litho Street on Oct. 9, claiming another man was going to assault him. Could not explain why. Police moved him along.

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF

Noisy Chicks: A resident in Woodacre on Oct. 9 called deputies to tell them that his neighbor’s chickens were making a racket all night and in the morning he was going to “confront” the chicken owner. Deputies told him to call the Humane Society and lodge a complaint.

Homeless Encampment: Deputies engaged with a homeless encampment on Central Avenue in Woodacre. Told people there that they were parked in the public right of way and had to move.

Political Signs: An altercation occurred on Oct. 9 in Marinwood over political signs. One guy pulled a knife on another guy, then proceeded to cut down a political sign. Police responded. In the end, neither guy pressed charges.

Strange Guy: For the past 30 days a “strange guy” sat in front of a bakery in Kentfield and smoked dope. Callers felt he was having mental issues. Police checked it out and moved the “strange guy” along.

Satan: A man on Auburn Street in San Rafael told deputies he saw Satan and he has guns. Deputies talked to the man for a while and determined there was “negative merit to Satan”. Deputies will check up on the guy later, just in case.
