Novato’s finest crack doggie disappearance case

July 9, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

On Thursday (7/4), Officer Fawnsworth sprang into action following a “paw-ful” report of a missing “fur baby” (dog). The owners clarified that Tobi the Terrier had been dog-napped from the San Marin neighborhood the night prior. Tobi, was an at-risk 15-year-old pup with impaired vision and hearing.

An hour later, Officer Moyer cracked the case in the Ignacio area, uncovering the dog-napper, who had poor little Tobi stashed in a reusable shopping bag on her bike. He was quite dehydrated, but thanks to the officer’s swift actions, Tobi was back in the loving arms of his owners in no time, while the suspect’s journey ended at the Marin County Jail.

Hats off to our paws-itively amazing officers for bringing little Tobi back home safe and sound. Happy Tails Monday Novato!
