Fire Boat San Rafael (FBSR) was training on July 25, in the area between Tiburon and Angel Island when a request for a rescue tow came over Marine Emergency Channel 16. FBSR responded, helmed by Captain Barrow with Captain Rogerson and Engineer McCarthy on board. The vessel’s keel got stuck on an outgoing tide. FBSR was able to free the sailboat with a tow line and plenty of horsepower thrust.
