Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo will get a new name, a school panel decided last week. The naming issue will now go up to the Tamalpais Union High School District Board of Trustees.
Sir Francis Drake, the 16th century explorer who landed in Marin, has been caught up in the Black Lives Matter movement. Final say on the school’s new name rests with the school board.
