Third update shows Sobieski, Woodside and Blaustein winning Sausalito council seats

November 15, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

The Marin County Elections Department has released the third update to its results from the General Election on November 5.

With the ballots of 82% of the 5,576 registered voters in Sausalito counted as of 1:37 p.m. on November 15, the contest for the three open seats on the City Council looks like this:

  • Ian Sobieski: 2,415 votes (23.49%)
  • Steven Woodside: 2,311 votes (22.48%)
  • Melissa Blaustein: 2,252 votes (21.90%)
  • Sandra Bushmaker: 1,718 votes (16.71%)
  • Jacqueline Amrikhas: 1,585 votes (15.42%)

The next update from the Elections Department will be published by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18.

The California Secretary of State’s estimated turnout for Marin County as of November 15 is 83.7%. If Sausalito’s turnout ultimately ends up approximating that of the county, there are not enough remaining uncounted ballots to dislodge any of the top three vote-getters.

The Elections Department will publish the official final election results on Tuesday, December 3.
