100-year-old pipe replaced in Mill Valley

Marin Water will replace a 100-year-old pipe with a new pipeline along East Blithedale Avenue in Mill Valley, beginning in early April. The project area covers more than one mile of pipeline between Millwood Street and Camino Alto and is anticipated to be completed in September of 2022. To streamline construction activity and minimize impacts to the surrounding community, Marin Water will coordinate with the City of Mill Valley and its contractor as the city implements its Street Rehabilitation Project along the same corridor.

Water service may be interrupted for short periods of time during construction for properties near the construction area. In the event a temporary shut-off is needed, Marin Water will directly notify occupants of impacted properties 24 to 48 hours in advance of the interruption.

Marin Water provides local drinking water to more than 191,000 customers spanning ten towns and cities in a 147-square-mile area of the county. For more information on the pipeline replacement project, contact Marin Water’s Construction Management team at 415-945-1560.
