3 armed robberies in Marin result in 3 arrests, one in San Pablo and a 2 in Vallejo

February 9, 2026 by Marin 1 Comment

On January 14, 2026, at about 2:30 pm, Novato Police Dispatch received a 911 call about a man who reported being robbed at gunpoint at his home in central Novato.

Patrol officers learned that a large sum of cash that had just been withdrawn from a Novato bank had been stolen. The suspect was described as a masked male with a black firearm who fled in a vehicle. The victim was not hurt.

Novato Detectives learned two other similar robberies had recently occurred elsewhere in Marin County, which were being investigated by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office and San Rafael Police Department. Detectives worked together to identify the suspect as 30-year-old San Pablo resident, Alexander Cunningham. The detectives wrote search warrants and conducted surveillance. They learned Cunningham conspired to commit the Novato robbery with 29-year-old Danielle Torres and 25-year-old Alexis Flores – both residents of Vallejo. Detectives discovered one of the suspects was a bank employee during all three robberies.

Today (2/5), the Marin Regional Crisis Response Unit, which includes SWAT, Crisis Negotiators, and Crime Scene Investigators, served arrest and search warrants at two Vallejo residences. Simultaneously, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office served warrants at a San Pablo residence. All three suspects were safely taken into custody. Evidence of the robberies, including an unserialized (ghost) gun was found. The suspects were booked into Marin County Jail for several charges including robbery and conspiracy.

This case highlights how teamwork and collaboration between agencies can efficiently and effectively solve crime and ensure justice for the victims . Thank you, Vallejo Police Department, San Rafael Police Department, and Marin County Sheriff Office for your help with this investigation.
