Rotary International, is a global public service organization with 35,000 Clubs and 1.2 members in 200 countries. Rotary partners with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control and the United Nations Children’s Fund for the world-wide eradication of Polio which is close at hand.
Rotary District 5150 includes 45 Clubs with 1,850 members; San Mateo, San Francisco and Marin County. District Governor Danielle Lallement selected Sonia Seeman, Secretary of the Rotary Club of Novato, for her leadership and commitment over 30 years as Rotarian of the Month.
Rotary Club of Novato President Christina Stroeh presented Sonia Seeman with the honor during a Rotary Club meeting at the Bill and Adele Jonas Center at College of Marin at the Indian Valley Campus. A leading accomplishment by Sonia Seeman is her participation for 15 years with a Rotary Club of Novato Committee in a site location search resulting in negotiations of partnership with the College of Marin with the Rotary Club of Novato leading to construction and completion of the Bill and Adele Jonas Center where the Rotary Club of Novato now holds our meetings, events and activities.
