On Friday, May 24, 2024, the Novato Police Department held a DUI checkpoint on De Long Ave and Redwood Blvd in Novato. DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.

1 Arrested for Health & Safety Violations.
32 Drivers were cited for driving unlicensed.
2 Drivers were cited with suspended licenses.
4 Drivers were cited for other moving violations.
92 Vehicles were directed to the secondary screening area.
