
Novato Fire District’s Training Captain Adam Black’s has called it a career after an incredible 24 years of dedicated service to the District.
He began in 2000 as a firefighter/paramedic. Throughout his career, he consistently rose to the challenge, taking on promotions to Engineer, Captain, and most recently, Training Captain.
His passion for the fire service is evident in his numerous achievements. Captain Black served as NPFA President, played a key role on the negotiations team, and proudly represented the department on the Color Guard. He also shared his expertise as a Safety and Survival Instructor, State Registered Instructor, NFD Academy Instructor, and Peer Support Team member. His passion for mentorship, firefighter safety and wellness has undoubtedly shaped countless lives within the department.
