Art to the rescue

May 6, 2022 by Marin Leave a Comment

A work by artist Natalia Zabala.

This May 21-22 the Sausalito Art Festival Foundation will sell artwork and donate the proceeds to UNICEF, the Red Cross, and World Central Kitchen to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine.

The Foundation is bringing together over 60 artists to participate in this event to be held at the newly formed Sausalito Center For The Arts in downtown Sausalito. The event will feature artwork for sale in multiple creative categories from artists both near and far. The majority of the artists have donated their work as a show of support to the people of Ukraine.

The Foundation said “we realize there are many worthy ways to contribute your time, effort and money to help the citizens of Ukraine in this time of unimaginable horror. Our approach is to harness the beauty of art to fight the grotesque face of war and we hope that you help in our effort.”

Join the Sausalito Art Festival Foundation and a generous group of artists in our effort to support the citizens of Ukraine in their time of need. There is no charge to attend the event but because space is limited, an RSVP is required to manage staff needs.
