Attention complainers: Novato makes it easier to report non-emergency issues

February 7, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

Have you heard about Novato’s Service Request tool?

The city’s online reporting tool, according to a press release, allows people with complaints to report non-emergency issues around town from the convenience of an electronic device. It’s the easiest way to notify City staff of problems like trash or debris removal, pothole repair, tree maintenance, traffic signal issues, graffiti and weed abatement, and other non-emergency service needs. You can also submit a request to notify the City of quality of life or concerns related to homelessness.

The city’s press release to Marinscope says:

When you submit a Service Request, it gets sent directly to the appropriate Novato staff member to review and address. Visit novato.org/servicerequest and follow these simple steps to ensure the most efficient response possible:Include a photo with your request – This step is optional, but a photo can help expedite your request as staff can identify the issue more clearly. Provide an accurate address or location – Help our team locate your issue by including the correct location.Choose the correct category – We have a list of options available for you to choose from to ensure your request is assigned to the appropriate staff member. Provide your contact information – This helps our team know who to contact in case we need additional information regarding your request. You’ll also receive a confirmation email with the details of your request.

We can continue to keep our City clean and beautiful by teaming up and working together. More information at novato.org/servicerequest.
