Back-up hospital beds in Marin ready just in case

May 27, 2020 by Marin 1 Comment

An emergency back-up hospital is set up and ready to go should the coronavirus pandemic take a turn for the worse in the coming months.

Marin County has converted a portion of the Marin Center into a facility that could handle up to 100 patients.

Marin hospitals on any given normal day can accommodate about 250 patients. But should the virus strike in a second or third wave during reopening this summer, county officials can increase the bed count to over 400 beds.

This is truly ridiculous. None of these back-up beds have been used. The highest number of hospitalized for Covid-19 was 9, back on April 1st. This whole thing is a farce, oppressing our liberties, designed to sell the future vaccine, which will, likely, be even less effective, and more dangerous than the flu shot
