A bicyclist identified as Peter Grace, 70, was killed on Saturday morning, Nov. 2, the San Rafael Police Department reported. It happened on Andersen Drive at the SMART railroad grade crossing. A preliminary investigation determined Mr. Grace was headed northbound on Andersen Drive. As he drove over the tracks, he fell to the pavement, and into the path of a northbound pickup truck towing a trailer.
The driver of the pickup truck stopped after the collision and is cooperating with investigators. No drugs or alcohol were involved
