Binford Road homeless encampment reduction report due soon

April 18, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

The big homeless encampment on county land just north of Novato on Binford Road has been a topic of concern for Marin County government.

In December of last year, the county presented an assessment of the homeless there (101 people) and planned to give the public an update on progress for reducing the population illegally parked alongside the road. The update would come “every 3-6 months.”

The county’s plan is to reduce the population along Binford Road to 50 people by Augusta 2025 and have them all removed by August 2026.

The full report on the county’s effort can be found here.
