California minimum wage going up for certain categories of workers

Minimum wage is going up in California for health care workers. Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law this month an act that puts medical technicians, nursing assistants, custodians and other support staff on a path toward a $25 per hour minimum wage. The calls for a gradual wage hike that rolls out starting next year.Meanwhile, fast food workers will see their minimum wage go to $20 per hour in April 2024.
