California senior U.S. Senator – underline “senior” – Dianne Feinstein has once again shown she needs to step down immediately. She is simply no longer with us mentally.
We could go through a hundred of other examples of her mental fragility, the latest happened yesterday (Thursday, July 27).
In a Senate committee meeting she had to be prompted to vote. And, worse, she had to be told how to vote.
During a meeting of the Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday, the Sacramento Bee reported that she failed to cast a vote until directed by Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash, the committee chair.
Feinstein said neither “aye” or “nay” regarding a defense spending bill.
Says the Bee’s reporting: “‘Say aye,’ Murray encouraged three times. Feinstein started to read from prepared remarks before an aide whispered to stop her. Another back-and-forth between Murray and Feinstein ensued, with the California Democrat seemingly questioning what to do. Feinstein then sat back and said, ‘aye.’”
Oh, and there’s more. The week before, in a meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee, “Feinstein slipped up by accidentally voting for a Republican amendment to a Democrat-backed Supreme Court ethics bill.”
This is getting embarrassing. California doesn’t have two U.S. senators anymore. And Ms. Feinstein still has another year and half before her term ends.
Sad for California and sad for a once great senator.

Watch Grassley; he’s only 3 months younger than Feinstein. Don’t let it just be a female thing or Democrat thing.
Grassley’s not intellectually compromised yet. Just morally so.
He is mentally “sharp as a tack.” There is NO COMPARISON between Grassley and Feinstein. Some people are fortunate enough to remain mentally competent in their senior years while others decline.
They must replace Feinstein and McConnell with a snap election to finish their terms.
Diane needs to retire from politics. Her brain isn’t functioning properly anymore and she’s a hot mess.
She needs to retire now
I’ll be age 91 in November. I’ve been on that ‘ Slippery Slide’ that happens to 100% of people! I don’t know how to describe a manner in which to say,, you no longer qualify to be in politics! But it needs to be done!! Regardless of political party!!!!
I have not had a California Senator represent me nor the State of California in decades, they only represent Left Wing Democrat Party. DiFi can stay in the senate until her term is up as far as I am concerned.
Sad but true
You can’t say those elected don’t represent the state because they most definitely do. Every election proves that. The majority of the state are Democrats.
I quite proudly consider myself a bleeding heart liberal.
This country is really sick. Their entire senate and their presidents consist of seniors who are either too old, senile, bordering on dementia. And they call themselves the greatest country in the world. Wrong, you’re doing yourselves a disfavor.
Shame on this reporter! Why are we not talking about Mitch McConnell? He froze! Stopped speaking in the middle of a sentence! Why is it only okay for old white men to be “old”?????
Yeah, but at least he can still vote and do his job without having to be told to vote AND HOW to vote like Dianne Feinstein!! He may have frozen mid-sentence for a moment. She’s frozen permanently and that’s called ELDER ABUSE!! It’s time for her to step down and get out of politics.
… because the article is about Difi.
There is a long list of ancient men/women rep/dem that need to put their slippers on and retire.
We let it happen, we vote these people back into office.
Career politicians.
Yep,he needs to go too. This is coming from sn old white republican.
Why he didn’t mention , McConnell, who appeared to have a stroke or something of that nature, is beyond me.
McConnell did precious little in the Senate except push his extremist judges into the Supreme Court. He ignored about 400 Democratic bills, wouldn’t even bring some of them up. He’d be no loss.
As far as Grassley is concerned, following his master Trump to try and finger Biden for bribery, or anything, without credible evidence, he says “It doesn’t matter if it’s true or not.” That’s either a moral lapse or he has dementia.
Because this is a California based article speaking on California representation in the senate and McConnell represents Kentucky.
I totally agree!
Completely agree.
It’s ironic how some people who live in California diss the state vehemently. If it’s so bad, leave and stop your grousing! Obviously, the vast majority disagree with you and show it in the elections.
Love it or leave it and don’t expect to find better weather or natural beauty elsewhere!
Bye, bye. You’ll not be missed!
senator Feinstein‘s Thursday vote should be rescinded. clearly, she is unable to perform her duties. She should not be allowed to vote again while in the Senate. She needs to resign.
Senate Feinstein should step down or be asked to do so before the end of her term – soon. Mental acuity is needed when making decisions concerning legislation. She’s contributed so much to our country and it’s sad to see her failing. Retire with grace.
I believe this applies to both sides of the political fence – age as it affects mental acuity is an important consideration and needs to be addressed within both political parties.
In my work career u were sent out to pasture when you could not do your job your sitting in paid to do. It was preform or get a new job your out of here. But my govt job its a relaxed job compared to my private sector jobs they were dog eats dog. Well I reported it to medicare.but never hear back nor got answer. But this doctor has closed his office in the last year he’s retired and he been seem acting weird my good friend say in her stay in hospital he was her primary Doctor but she say dmshe fired him one day in her hospital stay telling him he was not her doctor anylonger. Then he retired not long after that and she never made it back out of hospital after getting a covid vac. She got blood.clots then liver & kidney were acting up she was87 yrs very health prior to this covid vac. Her daug rushed her to get driving her 40 miles one way to get first shots for covid pandemic and her daug was newly retired from her long career in medical field when covid hit the medical needs in the as.she was 65 as well worked 30 yrs in medical field but mother did not want this covid vac.
