Stolen Car: On April 21, a Deputy saw an occupied vehicle parked on the street near a parking lot in Marin City. The deputy consensually contacted the driver and through his investigation found the vehicle was reported stolen from Oakland. The vehicle had stolen license plates from a similar vehicle in order to make it more difficult to detect. A search of the vehicle yielded an embossing machine used to create fraudulent credit cards, numerous fraudulent credit cards, multiple fraudulent identification cards, burglary tools and a loaded, unregistered firearm. The occupant of the vehicle was already on Post Release Community Supervision for a prior weapons offense and was arrested for numerous crimes and booked into the Marin County Jail.
