CDC drops several COVID-19 recommendations in light of 95% immunity in America

August 12, 2022 by Marin Leave a Comment

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has dropped the recommendation that people quarantine if they come into close contact with a person infected with COVID-19.

The CDC also lifted the mandate that people stay 6-feet away from others.

The Associated Press reported that the changes come because an estimated 95% of Americans 16 and older have acquired some level of immunity, either through vaccination or infection.
