Fairfax seeks a Pride upgrade

April 17, 2023 by Marin Leave a Comment

Fairfax already flies the Pride flag at Town Hall. Now the Marin town known for its ultra progressive sensibilities will feature a rainbow crosswalk on Broadway.

The crosswalk will be painted to include the colors of the Progress Pride flag, a more up-to-date Pride flag that symbolizes intersex inclusion.

June is Pride Month. The crosswalk will be ready for the celebration.

Fel Agrelius, director of programs at the Spahr Center, told the Independent journal that she is excited about what Fairfax is doing.

“Actions like this show that Marin towns celebrate our community and recognize the importance of visibly honoring Pride month,” Agrelius said. “As a Fairfax resident myself, I can’t wait to see our town in June.”
