Felon on bicycle in Novato stopped, booked for possession of a firearm stolen in Sacramento

On Feb, 17 about midnight, a Novato Police Officer noticed a person riding a bike without lights on Redwood Boulevard. The officer contacted the rider, and he identified himself as Travis Wine, a 28-year-old Novato resident.

Wine was currently on Marin County Probation and was searched per his probation terms. The officer found drugs, paraphernalia, a loaded semi-automatic firearm, a large-capacity magazine with 20 rounds inside, and burglary tools in Wine’s possession. The firearm had been reported stolen in the Sacramento area.

Gun stolen out of Sacramento.

Wine was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail for several crimes including being a felon in possession of a stolen/concealed firearm, large-capacity magazine, drugs, paraphernalia, and burglary tools.
