Gov. Gavin Newsom has lost popularity in California, a new poll shows.
According to a new UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, the governor’s standing has hit an all-time low. Forty-nine percent disapprove of his performance as governor.
In February, Newsom’s popularity stood at 55% approval. In October, he was at 44% approval.
Pollsters said the slide coincides with Newsom’s rise in national politics.
