The Novato Historical Guild will hold its Quarterly Membership Meeting on Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to noon, at Novato City Hall, 901 Sherman Avenue. Featured speaker will be Brian Crawford, Marin resident, author, historian, and open-space activist. He will discuss his book “Shipwrecks of Marin.” The event is open to the public and free of charge.
The coastline of Marin is a graveyard of ships. Mr. Crawford has done extensive research fleshing out the details of famous wrecks from contemporary accounts, and identifying more than a hundred wrecks not documented elsewhere.
