With the holiday shopping season fully upon us, the folks at the Mill Valley Lumber Yard are launching their first annual Holiday Faire.
The event, which will feature live music, warm drinks, an array of holiday shopping opportunities, visits with Santa and his elf, various themed workshops hosted by MVLY retail and food tenants, roasted chestnuts by the Southern Marin Fire District and much more.
Here’s a schedule of opening events:
Dec. 8, 5-8 p.m. – Celebrate the Holiday Faire kick-off with holiday music and carols. Mulled wine and hot chocolate will be served. At 5 p.m., Watershed restaurant hosts a festive cocktail workshop featuring Steve Turner with Starward Australian Whiskey and Free Spirits non-alcoholic bourbon. Steve will teach guests how to make a few fabulous cocktails, with plenty of swag to take home afterwards. Cost is $30 per person. Call 415.888.2406 to reserve. The class will be held inside Eddy Bar & Bottle, adjacent to Watershed.
From 5:30-6 p.m., Erin Morris’ Fideaux shop hosts a dog parade throughout the Lumber Yard courtyard. Have your pooch come dressed to impress for the chance to win a special prize. The parade will be followed by Candlelit Carols-Drop-in from 6-7:30pm.
