Congratulations to Jeff Keena, the Novato Fire Department 2021 employee of the year. Jeff is a newly promoted Engineer, responsible for and an expert in all aspects of the fire engine and its equipment. Jeff is a second generation Novato Firefighter. His father, Tom Keena, retried from Novato Fire District as a Captain in 2004. Native to Novato, Jeff spent his youth in the community that he now protects. Jeff serves as a board member for the Novato Fire Foundation. Through the foundation, Jeff participates in the yearly Holiday Giving program and is currently assisting with the restoration of Novato Fire second fire engine, a 1927 Moreland. Jeff also serves as a Post Advisor for the NFD Explorer program.
