Letter to the Editor: Thank you

November 8, 2020 by Marin Leave a Comment

Dear editor,

I am extraordinarily grateful to every voter who cast a ballot this election, and for all of the election officials and volunteers dutifully collecting and counting every last vote.

And I am humbled by your support for my fifth (fifth!) term in the Assembly.

Like you, I’ve been on the edge of my seat as the results come in for a Presidential race that has been exhausting. As of right now, it appears that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are on the right track to win the Presidency–knock on wood!

The good news is, though it’s a little unnerving that it needs to be said, our democracy is working just fine. I am confident that when we reach the end of this process, every single American and Californian vote will be counted.

Speaking of democracy working, we also have reason to celebrate turnout across the North Bay, which will lead the state yet again this year!

I am so honored to represent such an engaged and passionate community of voters and activists, and I hope I continue to make you proud during my next term.

Marc Levine
