Letters to the Editor: Thanks for your column on the pain inflicted during COVID

Dear Editor,

Thank you for the column about COVID rules inflicting pain on the sick and dying.  My wife of 60 years died in Sept of lung cancer. She spent several stays in hospital while being diagnosed. Of course we were kept away except for meeting with doctors. I was aware of her need for my companionship. Doctors said only the floor nurse could allow me in. One day “yes,” one day “no.”  She was kept off normal food and started to lose weight. She died 12 days later.

Everything in the column is right. Facilities must recognize the need of older people for companionship. More than even meds.

Keep up the good work.

There seems to be no Letters to the Editor section in the print edition………..I would like to respond to recent Fairfax Town Council bashing that accuses them of things that is NOT my experience at all………I have found our council to be smart, compassionate and earnest……….if I send an email I get a response unlike Lynette Shaws accusation…….
Is there some way to send in a response where I can give my experience unlike the bashers?
I doubt the Town Council is recommending high rises on the ridge lines………..
If you are going to put out a bunch of BS other residents should be able to respond and give their experience in the paper not just Mike and Lynette.
And no we don’t want to move homeless people to behind the library next to the Community Garden………They are safer in Peri Park next to the police station.
So how and where can I express my concerns
