Marc Levine

Marin’s representative to the state Legislature has lost his bid to move up to become the California insurance commissioner.

Marc Levine, D-San Rafael, finished third (18%) in the Primary election. First place went to incumbent Ricardo Lara (36%) and second went to Republican Robert Howell (18.1%). Lara and Howell will face off in the general.

Levine conceded the race on his Facebook page saying, “Taking on an incumbent in a statewide race was always going to be an uphill battle.”
