Just before 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 4, San Rafael Police responded to a car that crashed into a PG&E utility pole at Redwood Highway and Joseph Court in San Rafael’s Terra Linda community, shown above. The driver and a passenger were hurt and hospitalized. About 400 residents had their power knocked out.

FAIRFAX

Lasagna Eater: A man entered his house on Maiden Lane to find what he described to police as a “big woman” (estimated at over 6-feet tall) eating his lasagna. He told her to get out. She said she only came in because her car broke down, which of course did not explain the lasagna. The intruder left and was not in the area when police arrived.

Fairfax Good: A person lost a pouch at a local grocery store filled with cash, ID and credit cards. A citizen found it and returned it.

Taxi to Seattle: A man in a grocery store parking lot asked where he might get a taxi into the city. And by city, he meant Seattle. He didn’t know he was in California. Police called for help. Service provided.

Abandoned: Police on Nov. 16 found a car abandoned on Meernaa Avenue. Service provided.

Bad Vibe: Two girls and a guy were outside the Woman’s Club on Park Road and gave a passerby a super weird feeling. The man appeared totally out of it. Police checked it out. Gave the trio a verbal warning.

Loud Music: Police responded to a complaint of loud music coming from an encampment on Bolinas Road. Service provided.

DUI: A citizen reported a driver swerving around and erratically. Police followed up, located the car and stopped it. Driver arrested for DUI.

Noise: A noise complaint was logged for the homeless encampment at the Pavilion. Service provided.

Mental Breakdown: Police checked on a woman at a bus stop who was reported to be yelling and swearing at no one in particular. Service provided.

Out Of It: A woman of an unknown age walked down Sir Francis Drake Boulevard “topless and swaying.” Passersby said she looked pretty far out of it. Arrest made.

Trespassing: Officials at Oak Manor School reported a homeless woman and a man coming onto school grounds and going through the lost-and-found box. They also were peering into parked cars. Service provided.

Topless: A woman at a local bar was reported to be “acting strangely” by trying to take her top off. Police called. Service provided.

Kia & Jeep: A man lay stone cold drunk between a Kia and a Jeep. Police responded and arrested him as he was too far gone to take care of himself.

NOVATO

Fire: One person was arrested for starting a fire with homemade fireworks on Oct. 28. Officers were dispatched to the area of Redwood Boulevard near Rowland Boulevard regarding a man who lit a bush on fire. Novato Patrol Officers and our Fire Mitigation Ranger responded to the area to investigate. When they arrived, the fire had been extinguished. Officers contacted Cary Newman, a 53-year-old Novato resident, who was in the same area of the fire. Officers determined Newman lit a self-made device that resembled a large bottle rocket, which caused the fire. Newman was placed under arrest for unlawfully starting a fire, possession of controlled substances, and possession of illegally manufactured fireworks. He was booked into the Marin County Jail. This is an important reminder for our community that wildfire danger is extremely high during this time of year, especially during weather conditions like the Red Flag Warning last weekend.

MILL VALLEY

Liquor & Formula: A woman shoplifted liquor and formula from a store on Camino Alto. Video available. Service provided.

Charming: A resident on Cottage Avenue put out a washing machine and a toilet on the street. Why? To block parking spaces. Ongoing bad behavior. Service provided.

Damn Google: A woman came up to a door on Leyton Court and screamed profanity into the air directed at the search engine Google. She then wandered away. She’s know to law enforcement and may (may?) have mental health issues. Service provided.

Guitar Man: A homeless man who makes the police blotter regularly in Mill Valley was at it again on Oct. 27. On Miller Avenue the man, who is well known to police, wearing baggy jeans and carrying a guitar case, randomly yelled profane and rude comments to passersby. Service provided.

Skimpy: Police took a call on Oct. 29 complaining about a teenage girl walking on Buena Vista Avenue wearing a “skimpy” outfit – a short skirt and a tank top. Asked if a crime was occuring, the caller just kept repeating the word “skimpy.”

A Bit Off: A man walked into a store on Blithedale Avenue talking to himself and touching himself, which made all around him uncomfortable. Service provided.

Unwanted: A man panhandled people on Camino Alto. Service provided.

Reckless Driving: A 60-ish woman wearing a “colorful bandana” and driving a white Porsche appeared skunk drunk in the drive-thru of a restaurant, plus she was driving the rim of one tire. Restaurant folk stalled her food and called the police. She was booked into jail on multiple charges. Service provided.

Scary: A citizen called the police to complain about a “scary” man that has almost taken up residence at Mill Valley’s post office. She’s afraid to go in and get her mail. She told dispatch that police know all about this man and they need to do something about the situation. “It’s not good for the community,” she said.

Mental: A homeless man was reported wandering aimlessly around the skate park on Sycamore Avenue on Oct. 29. Appears listless and out of it. Possible mental issues. Service provided.

Panhandler: A woman on Miller Avenue asked a passerby for money. The passerby said “no” and the panhandler then lunged at the passerby. Reported to police. Service provided.

      thanks for cleaning it up.

Curious why this Ffx incident involving a bar fight that injured a police officer was omitted? Nave’s may want to stop overserving.

Thank you for editing. Wondering why the intoxicated Nave’s customer event last week which involved injuring a Fairfax police officer didn’t make the local update?
