Marin 911: ‘Boycott Israel’ sign defaces private property

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF

Domestic Violence: A Kentfield man was arrested after deputies responded to a domestic violence call. 

Annual Parking: A car parked on Loring Avenue in Tam Valley for a full year was tagged for abatement.

Vandalism: A property owner in Woodacre called deputies about a “Boycott Israel” sign illegally posted on his board. Documented.

Leaf Blower: Deputies spent time looking for a gas powered leaf blower reported to be operating in Sleepy Hollow. Search found nothing.

Stolen Bike: A $600 bike was taken from Harbor Point Drive in Strawberry. 

Vehicle Abatement: A boat trailer on Northern Avenue in Tam Valley was tagged for possible removal on May 6. 

Squatter: A person on Lucky Drive reported on May 6 that a “squatter” was illegally using a dumpster to dispose of trash. Service provided.

Blank Stare: A woman on Woodland Avenue in San Rafael stood in the roadway wearing a white puffy jacket and holding a black suitcase. She had a blank stare on her face, according to a citizen who saw her and began to worry about her well being. Service provided.

MILL VALLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT

Angry Walker: A woman on May 8 reported that a man walked in front of her 2022 Silver Mercedes car on Blithedale Avenue forcing her to slam on her brakes. The man became agitated, slammed his fist on the hood of the car and shot a picture of her license plate. She feared he may come after her. Report taken. 

Lady & Baby: A homeless-looking woman with a baby in a stroller was in the cop log again (she is in almost every day) when she screamed a string of obscenities at a lady offering to give her help. Police were familiar with her and talked to her. She refused help. 

Long Parker: A resident of Hillside Avenue reported a white Mercedes parked on the street for 5-7 days. Police marked for removal in 72 hours. Service provided.

Homeless Mischief: A homeless person was reported to have ripped out a light on a business on Blithedale Avenue and then put glue on the door handle. Police keeping an eye out in the area. 

E-Bike: A teen girl on an E-Bike collided with a blue Porsche in a parking lot on Blithedale. The motorist waited to talk with the police. The girl went home with an injured elbow.

Suspicious: A woman with large black sunglasses and a yellow scarf was reported as a suspicious character lurking about on Throckmorton Avenue. Police talked to her. Just a Mill Valley resident. Service provided.

Mom Upset: The daughter of a mother residing on Hazel Avenue left home and called police. Said she would not return home until police talked to her mom, who was upset about a party the daughter and friends threw at the house. Service provided.
