Marin 911: Car with rainbows and butterflies ‘missing’ after a few rounds at the No Name Bar in Sausalito

SAUSALITO

Car Gone: A man drove to Sausalito, went to the book store, had a drink or two or three at the No Name Bar and couldn’t find his car. At first he though he just could not find it. Now he thinks it was stolen. It was a Golf VW diesel with rainbows and butterflies on it.

Vandalism: A Tesla was reported vandalized on Oct. 23. The Tesla itself recorded the incident, but the caller didn’t want to give the information to the police over the phone. Why? We just write ‘em, we don’t explain ‘em.

Sausalito Drunk: A woman in her 50s was reported three sheets to the wind, stumbling around and banging on doors on Caledonia Street. Officers made contact and reported she appeared loaded, but not so loaded she couldn’t take care of herself. She also declined help. Service provided.

Bomb Squad: A business put a safe out front and a passerby called it in as a possible bomb. Not a bomb. Service provided.

Fire: Two homeless women built a small “warming fire” off of Locust Street and it was reported to authorities. The fire department arrived and told the women it was illegal. The women cursed at the firemen and stomped off. The fire was extinguished.

Cry Wolf: A woman caused a disturbance in a city bush, yelling that she’s been tortured and raped. She did the same thing last week. No merit to torture and rape. Service provided.

Janitor: A citizen reported seeing people with flashlights in a restaurant after hours. Police responded and found it to be the janitorial service.

Hungry: A good citizen made a sandwich for a 20-ish woman who sat on the curb of Cazneau Avenue and appeared to be “out of it.” Police arrived and offered the woman help, which she refused. Last scene walking toward downtown. Service provided.
