Novato
DUI: On Jan. 15 at 8 a.m. Novato PD Dispatch received a call about a collision between a car and a young bicyclist at Cambridge Street at Rowland Boulevard. An on-duty School Resource Officer responded, as it was believed the bicyclist was a student traveling to school that morning. Novato Fire medics arrived on scene and treated the bicyclist for minor injuries. The 14-year-old bicyclist was released to his parent to seek additional medical treatment. The School Resource Officer and Patrol officers investigated the collision and discovered that the driver, Charles Mammoser of Novato, had been driving while under the influence of alcohol. Mammoser was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for DUI causing injuries.

Sausalito
Jan. 13 – 18, 2022
Booze Burglary: A man entered a grocery store in Sausalito and used a screwdriver to gain access to a room that stored the really good booze. He took two bottles of champagne and two bottles of tequila and stuffed them into his backpack. The value of the booze was placed at $2,640.32.
Michigan Man: A man wearing a Michigan sweater stood by the flower pots near a bank’s ATM and shouted profanities at people using the ATM. Police responded, did a welfare check on the Michigan Man, and determined he was OK and this was his “normal state.” The man agreed to go somewhere else.
Pacing Man: A man with a white beard and a black overcoat paced back and forth in front of a businesses on Bridgeway, yelling at people who came near. It was unnerving to people in the area. Police checked it out and determined no crime had been committed.
Pizza Box: A woman on Lincoln Drive called police on her mother who she said threw a pizza box, shoes and other items and her and her roommate. Police talked to mother and daughter and attempted to mitigate the situation. The daughter declined to press charges against mom.
Main Destruction: A mailbox on Bridgeway was opened and mail inside was strewn about.
Tent City: Police were summoned to the homeless Tent City at Marinship Park on Jan. 15 about a man screaming loudly. When police arrived, all was quiet.
Bike Stolen: A bike was reported stolen from the lobby of an apartment building on Eden Roc Drive. Bike was locked, but the thief cut the lock.
Irate Homeless Woman: A citizen reported a “heavy set” homeless woman in her 60s wearing “forest green clothing” walking around downtown Sausalito cursing at people. Police checked it out. This was determined to be “normal” behavior for the woman.
Bush Man: A homeless man lay in the bushes at Bridgeway and Bee Street. Police performed a welfare check.
Street Dancing: A woman got out of her car on Johnson Street and danced in the middle of the road. Police talked to the woman and told her to dance elsewhere.
Traffic Dispute: A pedestrian was almost hit by a car at Caledonia Street and johnson Street on Jan. 17. The passenger in the car got out and chased the pedestrian. They all ended at the police station where officers mediated the incident without charges.
Moved Along: A man was reported wandering through a restaurant’s parking lot peering into cars. Police talked to the man and told him to stop it.

Jan. 8 -13, 2022
Night Visitor: A woman slept in her home on Tamalpais Road when she awoke to a light shining towards her bedroom door from inside her residence. She then heard rummaging around and what sounded like papers crumpling. Police responded. No signs of illegal entry. An animal may have entered through the dog door.
No Mask: A woman refused to wear a mask in a local grocery store. But she was willing to wear a fur coat and a red hat. Go figure. Police provided service.
Threat: A man on the local bus threatened to kill the bus driver. Service provided.
Car Accident: Officer initiated activity at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Officer located a vehicle rollover accident that had just occurred. After an investigation, the driver was arrested for DUI. Arrest Made.
Odd Neighbor: A concerned person asked police to check on her neighbor because he was “behaving oddly.” Service provided.
No Mask: A man at the Fairfax Library refused to wear a mask. They asked him to leave. He said “call the cops.” So, they did. Cops arrived. He left the facility.

Jan. 5 – 11, 2022
Summary: During this one week time period, we had 534 calls for service. This included 2 calls related to hit and run accidents, 5 minor injury accidents, 0 major injury accidents and 5 property damage only accidents. There were 5 residential burglaries, 1 commercial burglary and 3 auto burglaries. There was 1 call related to DUI and 1 DUI arrest.
Car Gone: A resident on Lower Via Casitas in Greenbrae reported his vehicle missing. An Officer took a stolen vehicle report.
Theft: A resident on Seminole Avenue in Corte Madera reported the catalytic converter taken from his vehicle. An Officer took a report.
Druggie: A caller reported a suspicious subject on Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera. A man, with no permanent address, was arrested for being under the influence of narcotics, false identification to a Peace Officer and violation of probation. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
DUI: A caller reported a vehicle accident on East Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Larkspur. A juvenile Greenbrae resident was cited for driving under the influence of drugs and released to parent and medical staff.
Burglary: A caller reported a theft in progress on Redwood Highway in Corte Madera. A Fullerton resident was arrested for burglary, felony organized retail theft, obstructing a Public Officer, false identification to Peace Officer and $25,000 warrant held by San Bernardino County Sheriff Office. Another Fullerton resident was arrested for burglary, felony organized retail theft and obstructing a Public Officer. Both females were transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Unwanted: A caller reported an unwanted subject on Locust Avenue in Larkspur. A man, with no permanent address, was arrested for violation of court order. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Jailed: An Officer advised he was out with a subject on Golden Hind Passage in Corte Madera. A San Rafael resident was arrested for the contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Burglary: A resident on Calumet Avenue in San Anselmo reported returning home to find the residence had been entered and items had been taken. An Officer took a residential burglary report.
Burglary: A resident on Barber Avenue in San Anselmo reported returning home to find the residence had been entered and items had been taken. An Officer took a residential burglary report.
Drugs: Pursuant to a traffic stop on East Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Larkspur, a San Pablo resident was arrested for possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Shoplifting: A caller reported a theft just occurred on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in San Anselmo. A man, with no permanent address, was arrested for shoplifting, obstructing a Public Officer, violation of probation and two warrants totaling $3,000 held by Marin County Sheriff Office. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Burglary: A resident on Woodruff Road in San Anselmo reported returning home to find the residence had been entered and items were missing. An Officer took a residential burglary report.
Smash-n-Grab: A resident on Meadowsweet Drive in Corte Madera reported returning to her vehicle to find a window smashed and items missing. An Officer took an auto burglary report.
Smash-n-Grab: A caller reported returning to his vehicle parked on Fifer Avenue in Corte Madera to find a window smashed and items missing. An Officer took an auto burglary report.
Drunk: A caller reported hearing yelling and loud banging on Aspen Court in San Anselmo. A resident of San Anselmo was arrested for public intoxication. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Smash-n-Grab: A resident on Casa Buena Drive in Corte Madera reported returning to her vehicle to find a window smashed and items missing. An Officer took an auto burglary report.
Car Theft: A resident on Tan Oak Court in Corte Madera reported his vehicle missing. An Officer took a stolen vehicle report.
Mill Valley
