Fingerprint: A woman called police because she found a fingerprint on her car door handle.Road Problem: On Feb. 16, large pieces of furniture were blocking the road on Nevada Street. Cleared promptly.
Homeless Sleeper: A homeless resident was covered in cardboard and sleeping in some bushes on Bridgeway.
Homeless Yeller: A homeless man sat on a park bench yelling bad words to himself. He scared people nearby. Police talked to him.
Homeless Bother: A homeless man removed all the coffee items from a shelf in a store and left the store. Police talked to him. He was uncooperative.
Over And Over: A citizen called the police because a neighbor was loudly playing the same song over and over. Police checked it out. Turned out to be band practice. They closed the door to cut down on the noise.
Jewelry Theft: One or two men stole jewelry from a store on Bridgeway using the smash-n-grab techni
Novato
Stolen Car: Officers were performing speed enforcement on Feb. 22 in the area of Sutro Avenue. and Novato Boulevard in response to traffic complaints of speeding vehicles. The officers’ attention was drawn to a white Honda that was speeding down Sutro. Officers made an enforcement stop on the vehicle, which they discovered had been reported stolen from Rohnert Park, just days prior. Officers subsequently arrested 20 year old Novato resident, Zakary Butler Steinert. He was booked into Marin County Jail for possessing a stolen vehicle. The owner of the stolen vehicle responded to Novato to recover their car.
Stolen Car: On Feb. 20 at 4:48 p.m. Novato Police officers saw a reported stolen Honda sedan drive past them while they were parked near Taco Bell on Rowland Boulevard. The sedan was discovered an hour earlier at the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center, unoccupied, and was confirmed to be a stolen vehicle from Ventura County on Feb. 19. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the Honda which pulled over in front of the movie theater on Rowland Way. Two female occupants were detained. The driver, 19-year-old Qirra Pedersen, an Alameda County resident, was subsequently arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for possessing a stolen vehicle. Evidence of retail theft was found in the vehicle and further investigation will be conducted. The passenger was interviewed and released at the scene pending further investigation.

Feb. 17 – 24, 2022
Rogue Generator: A generator ran loudly in the Blithedale Avenue area and was reported immediately. Police checked the area for a rogue generator.
Yeller: A homeless woman was reported tearing apart a trash can on Miller Avenue and then approaching a stop sign and yelling at it.
Dog Hostage: A man called police because his girlfriend wouldn’t give him his puppy dog back. Dog was eventually returned.
Good Ears: A citizen with great hearing complained about a loud delivery truck at a bakery on Blithedale Avenue. Police checked it out and determined the truck was not loud and “not unreasonable.”
Dope Dealer: A mom called cops because her daughter was approached after school by a man who tried to sell her marijuana.
Beggar: A man who appeared high hung out at a store on Miller Avenue begging customers for money. Police moved him along.
Pest: A homeless man slept in a lobby at an establishment on Blithedale Avenue. He had cans of beer on him (always a bad look) and in the past threatened people. Police moved him along.
Vandalism: A BB gun damaged a glass door on Olive Street.
Drunk: A drunk man stood in the parking lot of a local motel screaming about shooting children, church people and gays. Police interacted with him and told him to go to bed and sleep it off.
Mary Poppins?: A woman with an umbrella stood on Throckmorton Avenue speaking “gibberish”. Police asked her if she needed shelter. She just kept walking and declined.
Break Up: Breaking up is hard to do as a guy found out when he wanted his former roommate to give him back his clothes. She did. But spray painted them first.
Central Police
Feb. 9 – 15, 2022
Summary: During this one-week time period, we had 569 calls for service. This included 1 call related to hit and run accidents, 1 minor injury accidents, 0 major injury accidents and 9 property damage only accidents. There was 1 residential burglary, 1 commercial burglary and 1 auto burglary. There were 2 calls related to DUI and 0 DUI arrests.
Arrest: Pursuant to a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in San Anselmo, a San Anselmo resident was arrested for possession of controlled substance, violation of probation and driving without a license. He was cited and released.
Drugs Stuff: An Officer advised he was out with subjects on Madera Boulevard in Corte Madera. A San Francisco resident was cited and released for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Another San Francisco resident was arrested for narcotics possession for sale, possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics, possession of Xanax without prescription and two warrants totaling $10,000 held by the San Francisco Sheriff Office. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Drugs: An Officer advised he was out with a subject on Magnolia Avenue in Larkspur. A Fairfax resident was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. He was cited and released.
Booked: A caller reported a suspicious subject on Via Casitas in Greenbrae. A Fremont resident was arrested for being under the influence of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Bike Theft: A caller reported the theft of his locked bicycle while parked on Doherty Drive in Larkspur. An Officer took a report.
Smash-n-Grab: A resident on Tamal Vista Boulevard in Corte Madera reported returning to his vehicle to find a window smashed and items missing. An Officer took an auto burglary report.
Drunk: A caller reported an unwanted subject on Magnolia Avenue in Larkspur. A Rodeo resident was arrested for public intoxication. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Drug Stuff: Pursuant to a traffic stop on East Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Larkspur, a Richmond resident was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a $500 warrant held by San Mateo County Sheriff Office. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Car Stolen: A resident reported she was unable to locate her vehicle last seen parked at her home on Corte Real in Greenbrae. An Officer took a stolen vehicle report.
Bike Theft: A caller reported the theft of his locked bicycle while parked on Doherty Drive in Larkspur. An Officer took a report.
Stolen Car: A resident reported she was unable to locate her vehicle last seen parked at her home on South Eliseo Drive in Greenbrae. An Officer took a stolen vehicle report.
